Health and Security

Regarding health in Cambodia, vaccinations, basic hygiene rules and usual food precautions will preserve you from most issues you could meet in the country. That is to say that no vaccination is compulsory for travelers from Europe, but some vaccines are strongly advised. We recommend you to organize an appointment with your doctor to update your vaccines.

Regarding security, Cambodia is a very safe country, which does not prevent us from remaining vigilant, especially for theft. Tourists are often approached by traders, souvenir sellers, shoe shiners, motorcycle taxis but mostly by children at the temple of Angkor often with insistence but without being nasty. Simply reject their offer gently if you do not need it.

The only real danger is traffic, there are a lot of fatal accidents in Asia. It’s better not to drive and take a tuk-tuk that will be safer. Drivers are accustomed to traffic and it’s a nice way to enjoy the country and take photo on board!
